How do I figure the 3 phase load ; twice the maximum number of dryers are connected between any 2 phases? There are 16 dryers total, nameplate at 5700kw each The feeder breaker amp seems low on a new install for 16. but I am unclear on how to figure how many between any 2 phases(220v dryers)

any help would be much appreciated.

Jason

I'll take a quick stab at it. 16 dryers at 5.7kw ea is 91.2 kw of total load. I assumed that all loads were evenly distributed therfore 91200/(1.73*208)=253.4 A I assume that is was a typo of 5.7 Mw per dryer at 208 v.

Thank you very much, Matt
I did make a typo and you are correct...these are 5.7kw and they are single phase 4 wire, not 208...3 phase dryers.

You guys are awesome here..the contract electrician installed a 150a main feeder for this room along with 16 washers and room ventilation:L(
