Hi,

I am trying to save money on a garage feeder line I am planning. I want to run 120/240 to the garage, put in a 60 amp subpanel using 2-2-4-6 MHF. I know I need a disconnect to meet NEC. Question is, can I use a 3 phase fusible switch? I found one used for $30 so the price is right. It is a:

Siemens I-T-E Cat. No. F353 100 amp, 600v, 3 Phase Enclosed Switch.

I know it's overkill (100 vs 60 amp) but it's fused etc.

Or since the panel I'm considering (https://www.se.com/us/en/product/HO...onvertible-main-breaker-pon-nema1-value-pack/) will have a main breaker shut off, do I even need a separate disconnect?

Or would a simple, non-fusible disconnect be good to shut off power to the panel and building? https://www.fleetfarm.com/detail/sq...JXXWwqI0mpsI232WTvaU5lBq8WSa1SjsaAleIEALw_wcB

Thoughts? Please forgive my ignorance and thank you for your patience.
