I forgot about the 10' area around the hot tub that can't be within the over head conductor area.
Conductor are 3' horizontal from edge of water and 16' from water. ( was thinking directly above the water.
Seems like I am boned, I tried to claim there service conductors so out of NEC code but that did not fly and these were existing so I should of caught it.
I would have to increase the service mast 10 feet to accomplish that height. Since the hot tub brings water level up 5' from grade.
Cheapest bet if owner is cool would be refund all his money and have him build a roof over the whole area so its enclosed.
Dang it.
just looked what I charged I will probably have to refund and pay to have this done o well.

Maybe im missing something…
those conductors arent over the hot tub.
i was thinking directly overhead had to be 22.5’
off to the side looks like there is 10’ from the wires.

inspectors saying 10' horizontal I have to maintain the 22.5'
Don't get my hopes up lol I am worrier and I am walking back and fourth trying to figure out how to handle this.

I'd say so long as they have a panel you can separate the nuetral from moving the service is cheaper than all these other ideas. Bring it around to the left of that window (if the utility will allow that location but with smart meters they might) and put a metermain then wrap with conduit to the old meter spot with mobile home feeder in the conduit. Idk what your utility would charge for reconnecting it or if they'd charge but I'd say you'll just be out the what you got for the hottub and maybe 1000 bucks more. You might even be able to try to upsell a new panel if they have a legacy panel for just materials and not be in a hole at all apart from labor.

Check with the utility first though or you might just be shooting yourself in the foot.

Ill give owner option one to enclose it, with a full refund he might like that since he a building and can buy materials or your option. I charged a pretty penny for that install. so either way ill use be out this money, Hopefully! thanks for that idea.
