30 amp 120 v RV Receptacle on a RV pole, is it required to be GFCI Protected.

No, but 15 and 20 amp receptacles are.

they make adapter to plug 15 or 20 amp cord into that 30 receptacle and then there is no gfci protection

I don't think I have ever seen one of those. I do know adaptors are available to convert the 30A RV cord to 15A attachment which allows it to be plugged in to a 15 or 20 amp receptacle when 30's aren't available.

It combines a 20 and 30 amp power receptacles into a 50 amp receptacle.

I could be wrong but it looks like the 30 amp plug would feed only 1 side of the 220 receptacle and the 20 feeding the other. what happens to that other male plug if not used ? I hope there is no 220 volt loads in that RV.

I'd like to see how its wired as well. RV's are 120 V, not 240. Lets see 20A +30A = 50A.

Tom some of the upscale $ 300 K + do use 50 amp 240 plugs what gets me is there is an additional adapter included to take the 20 to a 15 amp plug.If someone make something there is someone to buy it

From their web site

Both plugs must be plugged in for Adapter to work properly. Will not work if campground has GFI circuit breakers.

Want to bet the only UL listing is just on the plugs and not the assembly
