I have a MV manhole of approx 6' x 6' x 4 deep that contains 500kcmil feeder for 5kV motor starter in a MVMCC. Manhole also has a 230VAC single phase motor (sump pump). it is ok to run this LV power cable into the MV manhole even if it is not shielded?

I read that section as saying you can't run a non-shielded MV cable in the same manhole as the 600V cable...If the 5kV cable is shielded, it would be OK.

Hopefully someone with more experience with that section will chime in.

I don't believe the last sentence in that section applies to the installation in the manhole. It is my opinion that you only need to comply with 300.3(C)(2)(d).
