They could live for ever and not fix this.But dont forget that it takes a load of over 30 amps a few minutes before tripping,it could reach 40.It amounts to the same thing as a penny behind a fuse.You can drive with bad breaks for a long time but sooner or later you will rethink having done this.I would do my best to exsplain this to the renter and owner.Document it on your bill.Some things we dont like but have no power over changing.
