Hello All,
This is my first post and I though you might find this interesting. I'm working on a multi-family residential building project and happened in to their electrical meter room. They have A LOT of SE-R cables entering the room from above and coming down in to the meter panels. The interesting thing is that they have up to six cable assemblies running through a makeshift assembly of gyp board and a 2x6 above the meter cabinets and through a chase nipple with no clamps to the cabinets.
I have pictures I'd like to share of the room but can't figure out how to post them.
Thanks

I too, see this type of violation all too often. I try to explain to the electricians that the cables must be secured to the cabinet in accordance with 312.5(C).

I've done a similar setup with a SqD meter stack. I used the typical 1.5" cable clamps with hole-sawed holes.
