I'm looking for a meter/main combo that has additional breaker spaces to feed a service receptacle and a future A/C unit. It will be feeding into 2 separate 200 amp panels located in different locations in the building.

Siemens makes one, but my supply house doesn't carry Siemens. They stock Eaton.
Does anyone know of an Eaton product that satisfies these requirements?

Thanks!

Thanks for the link.
I'll ask the supply house about that one.
I don't need a 40 space, only need a few spaces outside for misc loads, but that helps me get closer to what I need.

Just installed one last week. Eaton (Cutler-Hammer) 200A with 4 full spaces but can be 8 spaces if using twins. They have them with more spaces as well.

Your supply house should be able to tell you what is available if they are an Eaton supplier.

We happen to have two CED suppliers in town and they both will search other stores stock status if you need it sooner than standard order time. Respective of their house brands, of course.

I agree!
I was kinda bummed with them when I asked about this meter/main.
When I described what I needed they couldn't tell me what Eaton had that fit those parameters, but they told me that if Eaton makes it they can get it!

That's why I was looking into it on my own!
I'm a fairly new customer of this supply house, and a small operation to boot, so my business probably isn't super important to them.

They're the Eaton distributor for my area.
I don't have to have an Eaton meter/main, I was just looking into that option because they carry Eaton. I want to build up a relationship with this supply house, but it needs to be a 2-way street!

I know Siemens makes one that satisfies these parameters. That's maybe what I'll end up using.

Do you have a part number or designation?

Now you went and made me get my paperwork in order that I had piled up!:(

MBT48B200BTS
"48" means 4 spaces/8 circuits
One with more spaces would be: MBT__B200BTS
Could be 612 or 20 or 816 etc.

Yes, that's the Siemens meter/main I'm looking at.

I think there's another supply house near me that carries Siemens.
I'm going to check them out tomorrow.

Well, I just talked to my salesman who stated “Not that I am aware of.” The glitch being the two 200 amp CBs. FWIW, I did not press the issue. He is not a newbie by any standard.

Come up with a catalog # and I will be glad to harass the heck out of him for the foreseeable future.

That just has a single 200 amp main from what I read.

I wasn't aware the OP needed another 200A feed. I just remember him saying he needed additional spaces, which I took to mean besides the main 200A, for small loads.
I went back and saw that he said he needed to feed (2) 200A panels. So I'm not sure if there is a meter/main combo with feed through lugs.
Sounds like he needs a 400A with dual lugs. Again not sure if a meter/main is available in a 400A.

If the full 200A is not needed in the subpanels, then he could feed the panels with 100A breakers from the main.
