Hey all, looking for solutions for interconnecting PV. One of the utilities we "work" with requires a 320A meter socket if we tap on the supply side of the main. We normally use Milbank in our area but the problem is when the customer already has a 320A socket. There's no listed triple lug recognized by Milbank to install. Does anyone know of another manufacturer or solution where 3 loads can land on the load side of a meter, short of a CT cabinet?

There are all sorts of multi port and stacking lugs of course, both mechanical and crimp, which would easily do what you need. However if a manufacturer has a select list of acceptable lugs that doesnt have what you need and you have a picky inspector, I dont really see any recourse. IMO that is a bogus call and he should be spending time looking at more important things. You could always use a 5 port polaris type connector in a box next to the meter to change from 2 conductors to your 3.

That's what we do now, usually replace the dual lugs that are already there with triples.

It's actually the utility that's making things difficult. They're not solar friendly so anything they can find to make life difficult... The j box solution is all I can think of too.

No splices inside the meter socket.
