thats the way I read it.... in an accessible ceiling (you will find similar wording for AC, FMC, etc)

What's throwing me off is the fact we're talking about supporting and not securing?

Am I only satisfying the support requirements but not the securing requirements required by 330.30(B)?

I'm confused to say the least.

...your reading to much into it. You read it correctly concerning 330.30 (D)(2). The light or equipment must be above an accessible ceiling for 330.30 d2 to apply
