Would '08 352.44 for expansion fittings apply to pvc conduit that is being buried and concrete encased? Conduit would be 2 runs of 4" about 100 ft.

Not much changed from the 2005 to the 2008 on expansion fittings for PVC. I say no!

I don't believe it would.

2008 NEC 342.42(A) "Threadless couplings.... Where buried in masonry or concrete, they shall be the concretetight type."

Even if the copupling would be concrete rated, I don't the PVC is.
