I have an install that requires adding more EMT to an existing uni strut rack. The gentleman I'm working with wants to put a mini strap on the existing 2", fasten another mini to the first and hang the new EMT under it.

EMT shall not be used under the following conditions:
(5) For the support of luminaires or other equipment except conduit bodies no larger than the largest trade size of the tubing.
He things I'm nuts. Can EMT be used to support another EMT?Equipment. A general term, including material, fittings, devices, appliances, luminaires, apparatus, machinery, and the like used as a part of, or in connection with, an electrical installation.
