4" FS/FD Boxes

Piping out all light fixtures with RGS(indoor) and they say all j-boxes are to be fs/fd cast boxes. Do these types boxes only comes with hubs and not a concentric ko’s like a regular 4” stamped steel box? Would imagine in this case the RGS should terminate in the hub and not a ko. Thanks.

That's the only way I've ever seen them. You have to assemble them wisely to avoid, or at least minimize the need for Erickson couplings.

Did you look them up?
Cast iron, need to know how many times your coming out of each box, lead time for delivery, cost more, supporting them, covers, gaskets?, depth.

Agree. Have a bunch of recessed 1x4's. Figuring flex whip from each fixture to FS box only because I don't believe it's possible/practical to pipe directly into fixture.

Galvrig, cast box, liquidtite? Not flex if flex why all the heavy pipe and boxes?
