480v , 3 phase , over the side immersion tank heaters ( GFI required ? )

We are setting up a new Anodize room . I asked the manufacture of the three main control cabinets if they had ground detection for the over the side immersion heaters . His response was that their panels had been UL certified and that UL508 does not require GF on the heater's . Our old anodize tanks were mostly metal and all bonded together while this new room is all plastic polypropylene tanks . Does anyone have any information on whether GFI is required by code or for safety reasons ?

No code requirement as far as I know.

Even if some kind of ground fault protection was required it is unlikely UL508a would require it to be in the control panel.
