So client has a
5HP planer
compressor that says 3.7 hp on front of it ? name plate does not show HP just says SPL
and a 3hp table saw
All are 240 volt
sized 5hp at 27FLC x1.25 =35 could of used #10 THHN used #8 Long run. Breaker at 250% FLC. I think I got it so far did ,same to other.
Pulled them to there locations.
Here my situation I ran into because I overlooked something. The table saw came with preinstalled cord straight from factory its a 6-15p. Just looked in my book real quick and realized is spaced that the outlet needs to have a HP rating. Find out the factory 6-15p is only good for 1.5 HP and the L6-30p I got are only for 2HP
Look like I need L8-30 and a L7-30 Instead.
What should I do about the Factory cord. Also.
Also looks like 210.21.b 1 limits the receptical to 30 amps. Does that 5hp planner really use that it was just a label on the whole unit I could not get to the actual motor to look at it.
