did I miss it - did somewhere, someone mention horizontal burial - or plates?

FYI - I once cut off 6 rods at one job - the first one went down great, the next 7 were a bitch. The ones I cut off were eye level hazards.

Water piping and that big ole ground on the utility neutral. Has any one on this site ever heard of Stone Mountain. It is this monstrous piece of exposed granite NE of ATL. Heck on ground rods..

I can see the sucker from my house. Way back in the day when I was a juvenile deliquent it was a fun place to go misbehave. The exposed granite is just the tip of the iceberg. There are parts of ATL, And ATL electricians know where they are, That you can't even get thirty inches. Lithonia, Ga probably has more cut rods than anywhere in the world!!
