Since you are planning to direct bury 'cables' which are really conductors bundled together without an external sheath, I don't see a problem with just adding the required EGC as single conductor direct bury wire in the same trench.
Except that the code requires the EGC be in the same cable.

(1) Paralleled Installations. Conductors shall be permitted to
be run in parallel in accordance with the provisions of
310.10(H). The requirement to run all circuit conductors
within the same raceway, auxiliary gutter, cable tray, trench,
cable, or cord shall apply separately to each portion of the
paralleled installation,
and the equipment grounding conductors
shall comply with the provisions of 250.122. Parallel runs
in cable tray shall comply with the provisions of 392.20(C).

I think winnie's point is the product referenced isn't a multi-conductor cable, it's a plexed bundle of individual conductor direct burial cables, and so the relevant part of your quote is the bit about being in the same trench.

Anyway, as I mentioned in post #14, if this is a 120/240V 3-wire feeder, then the 4/c plexed bundle can be had. Or if it's a 240V 2-wire feeder, then the referenced 3/c plexed bundle is the correct choice.

In addition, I believe the product he referenced, Bergen/Yes, is a URD cable and not a recognized NEC conductor.

Curt it is not my plan to install and create a hazard. I have not done an Installation of this nature before and seeking advice. I thankyou for your input and appreciate your input. I am planning this install and it is my intent to do it safely and per code.
Your plan is neither safe nor per code. It's time for a new one. Thread closed.
