I have been asked to arrange this Elect room, and this is what I came up with, see attached.
Is the 2'-8" clearance in front of the transformer enough?
Thanks

Steve

Are we to assume it is a dry type transformer? Is this addressed N the manufacturers installation instructions? A simple call to the manufacture will address this as question as it would be right from the horse's mouth.
One thing that is overlooked is the heating looses as is would relate to the ventilating requirements of the room. Full load loses may be from 3000 to as high as ,6000 watts for the transformer alone without taking into consideration the heating of the other gear,

Thanks a lot guys, I was just wondering; does a transformer fall under equipment that "may require examination, adjustment, servicing, or maintenance while energized" according to 110.26(A) (1), (2) & (3).

Where are lugs on the transformer? My experience is that they are on the long dimension (width).

Rotate Transformer 90° and locate against the wall by the door. Rotate switch 90 degrees where it's at and move the two distribution panels next to it along the short wall at the other end plenty of room in the middle might have to move the door over which would require you to move the panel that's behind the door. Just my thoughts on it people are going to hate you for this Arrangement because you can't get in there to work very easily. By the way, will you be able to get the Transformer out if you have to?

It looks like the width of the switchgear sections is swapped, and the 5kv switch doesn't have working clearance.
