I have a wet well sewer pump station which is classified as Class 1 Div 1.
The EC has installed conduits from the well to the control cabinet. At the well, he has a 12" GRS nipple penetrating the wall. He then installs PVC conduit to a point where he again transfers to
GRS conduit for a distance of 36" (counting the elbow) to his seal-off.
The PVC will be encased in a 4" concrete envelope with 24" of fill on top.
Does this comply with the Exception or does the GRS nipple at the well need to be 24" also.
(at the point it enters the well it is 30" + below grade)
