50A 125/250V 4W Electric Range Recept to 20A 120V 3W Gas Range Recept

Not an electrician thing, but they now make an adapter specifically for this purpose that will plug into the 4wire range outlet and provide you with a 5-15R outlet. They are UL listed and have a 15A OCPD for the outlet (a non-replaceable fuse, but it’s legal). Look at the Southwire 9042SW8801

Definitely be the easiest and less expensive way to address it and easily reversible.
