In order to make a long story short, I have pretty much AC units washers Dryers and Flourescent lighting that is rated for 50Hz I am able to provide 220V not really wanting to have to try and change voltage to match Voltage ratio to Hz ratio because I have other equipment that is rated the other way please share your knowledge so that I can make the right choice in how I am going to make this happen without costing me a ton of money. What I want to do is just add 220V 60Hz to all of it. Thanks

I'm in Thailand on a Drilling Rig everything is powered by Gensets I have Two big ones that feed the rig and two little ones that feed the camp the Rig Gens are 60Hz the Camp Gens are 50Hz and the camp Gens are the ones we are looking at getting rid of. Thanks

If the 50 Hz motors are wound to have speed proportional to frequency (2-pole or 4-pole), then you will probably have trouble running them at 60 Hz because the load will go up on fans and most pumps.

Most small A/C compressors are positive displacement where volume is proportional to speed, so you would be increasing the load on the condensers by 20 percent which would increase the discharge pressure of the compressors and lower the suction pressure.

If there are any centrifugal water pumps or centrifugal blowers, that will be a particular problem. The power required by a centrifugal pump or blower is proportional to the cube of the speed.

All in all, you need to know what 60 Hz vs 50 Hz will do to the speed of all motors, so they all need to be checked.
