Just wondering what NEC cycle the 6' and 12' requirement became code? And if the 2' and 4' for kitchen countertops was the same NEC cycle. Thanks.

I believe its been mentioned here before that the 1959 NEC was the first that required that no point along a wall shall be more than 6 feet from a receptacle and the 24"/48" Kitchen ctr stuff came about in either the 1987 or 1990 NEC iirc.
