6 throws

I have a pedestal supplying a mobile home, the panel board on the mobile home is external a few feet from the pedestal. The pedestal has a ocpd for the feeders to the panel board but the panelboard does not have a main disconnect. There are more than six handles in the panel board. Does this violate 230.71 or 225.33

if the pedestal has a readily accessible switch, isn't that your main ? (or am I missing something) (230.70)

I am sure your not missing anything but I am Hence my question.
six throws confuses me even if I read it a hundred times.
 
Are you asking what is meant by six throws?

If so, it simply means you must be able to turn off all the electricity with a maximum of six throws, or movements.

My problem is where it should be applied I have read all the previous threads but still have confusion which is why my original post asks if it is necessary to have a diso in the panelboard also

the ocpd feeding the panelboard would be your main disconnect. is this located somewhere other than the pedestal?

i guess you're saying this is an MLO type MH panel?? if you have an ocpd (200a breaker) ahead of this, that should be your disconnect. can you explain the locations of such?

In WA if you weren't replacing the panel you would probably be fine to not do any type of upgrade to the service. We usually ask the inspector what he wants in a situation like that.

If this ocpd is readily accessible, then it is your service disconnecting means (one throw).

The panelboard would be a distribution subpanel.

However, I think you still have to comply with 550.11 A ? (panel inside mobel home with main and branch ocpd's)

The pedestal sits out about two feet from the mobile. The distribution panel is external mounted on the mobile a few feet over from the pedestal, I thought the panel needed a main disco because it was seperate from the pedestal ocpd but as Nakulak pointed out it is probaly 550.11 A that was the issue .
