Here...Smart can you provide a Code reference? Im a visual person I like to see what Im about to step in. thanks for help.
You are supplying a separate structure. There is no rule that says one service can only supply one structure.230.2 Number of Services. A building or other structure
served shall be supplied by only one service...

With 20' of air in between, most will say yes....
Anyway. would the H frame be considered a separate structure and the T building be another? would i have to build a new service ON t building?

Cut that gap down to 6', and I guess it'd be around 50-50 to 25-75.
You wouldn't necessarily have to build a new 'service', but disconnecting means will be required... and you are only permitted to have one service/feeder with up to six grouped disconnects without special permission otherwise.
Yep. That's a violation I've never seen or heard interpreted otherwise. You're only permitted one service or feeder to the T building.thanks! let me pick ur brain one last time.
what if I installed 1-600a disconnect at first service H frame then ran to a gutter at 2nd H frame with the 3 grouped disconnects. Each disconnect supplies 3 different panels for T building. you think that falls under 225.30

Are the T building panels grouped? Outside or inside on outer wall? MCB or MLO?
You'd have to put a disconnect(s) on (*or inside nearest the point of entrance) the T building any way you look at it. Running overhead, I'd just eliminate H2 all together, put a 600A at H1 (only because T building is temporary), and put 3?200A fused disconnects on* T building to feed panels. No Sir
T building panels not grouped they set about 50' away from each in the Building on inside on outer wall with MCB. what about the 600a disconnect at the 2nd
H frame feeding all three panels from the 600a disconnect. No separate 200 amp.
sorry last question.

Hmmm... a temporary building that requires (3) 200A panels. That sounds like something a utility would do... and the building's still there 30 years later... :slaphead:
Is there any existing service disconnect? Fused?like I mentioned earilier in thread We thought the buildings were gonna be separate buildings. These will be all together. The buildings will set in a parking lot for now. To save money they wanted to use a 800a existing service not being used and will end up being demo once project is over. them grouping the buildings together ruined my plan to run three separate feeders one for each t building. no tomorrow I have to figure out how to get this done.
With your help I have a good idea how to approach the situation. THANK YOU!
Is there any existing service disconnect? Fused?
Had a thought... but amounted to a violation... and thus deleted it...yes they have 4- 200a service disconnects that were feeding existing equipment that is now gone. I was planning on using this before the grouping of buildings.
