I need to replace the cord drops on a few indoor 120 volt pendant fixtures

fixtures are being lowered so i need longer cord drops

exiting cord is 16ga SEOOW 600 volt (white in color, this is critical)

I waited a little late to get replacement cord and could not get it in white in time

I do however have white cord 16 ga SJTOW but it is rated at 300 volt

would this be a suitable replacement? and the only difference between the 600 and 300 volt cable is one being hard service and the other junior hard service?

The voltage is ok, as long as the outlet box does not contain any system with a voltage over 300 volts.

Assuming that the cords will only have two current carrying conductors, the SEOOW has an allowable ampacity of 13 [400.5(A)].

Section 240.5 requires us to protect these cables at the ampacity shown in 400.5(A).

I don't find any way to incorporate 240.4(B), due to the wording of 240.4, so IMO the cords must be protected at not more than 13 amps.

Ten amps is an additional standard size breaker.

SEOOW is not shown for use as a pendant connection in Table 400.4.
