No argument whatsoever.

The point I am making is that due to the arbitrariness of the Code it defeates its own purpose. It does not aid in developing the proper sense of danger by throwing in rules that has nothing to do with safety. Like the sheperd boy who cried wolf to often.

The Code should be under rigorous engineering supervision, every and all decisions should be supported by calculations or demonstrable statistics and no manufacturers or trade organization representatives should be allowed in the authoring and approval process.

There should be independent bodies of authors and approvers, eg. there should be a legistlative and an executive body. As it did not follow the Democratic principles it will be eventually defeated by the IEC. Then we can all march to somebody else's drumbeat.....
