I only caution you to get the utilities approval. Electric utilities always have an easement where their lines run across someone?s property. The on- line search I did the utility claimed 50 ft. that would be 25 ft. in both directions centered on there lines.

This is a good reason why POCO could start a lawsuit for building a pool too close to the line. That easement would apply to an underground line as well. Owner or pool contractor needs to check with them before starting consruction, and maybe even should have been addressed before buiding permits are issued - kind of depends on how building dept operates though.

Owner may still be able to build his pool but may need to pay costs to have power lines moved to get out of the easement issue.
