705.95(B) Applied to Combined Inverter Output

Would it be acceptable to downsize the neutral according to 705.95(B) of a combined inverter output circuit?
I don't see why not as long as everywhere it goes it's at least the size of the accompanying EGC.

I suppose an AHJ might require you to label or placard the combiner panel so that no load exceed the neutral would get put in it, only because it is unusual. That said, technically no feeder is required to have a neutral larger than the calculated neutral load (in this case zero?) or the EGC, whichever is larger. So you do not even need to appeal to 705.95(B) here, which applies to branch circuits.
