In your 75 NEC was there is similar exception or rule?

Gonna have to trace it. Ex. 3 in 1975 is just the 6-switch rule.

That' why I started collecting the old ones. It helps sometimes to understand existing systems. My first thought when I saw this thread was it may have been a 'trick' question in reference to "the late 70's". So that's why I started looking backwards.
