Is it permissible to run the air handler on the same circuit as the ac compressor? I've been through the section on ac code in the 2008 book but I did not see anything about air handlers. The 3 phase compressors FL draw is marked as 11 amps. Min branch circuit requirement is 15 amps and max is 25. I went with the 25. The air handler is single phase 208v FL marked as 2.2 amps. Am I good to go with running the handler off two legs of the compressor circuit, or is there some clause that doesn't allow it?

I see no reason you could not but you will need disconnects for both. In reality all a split unit is is a seperate condencer unit. You did not mention heat strips so be sure to allow for them if they apply

Thanks for the input.

I've got a fused disconnect on the roof for the compressor and ill be sure to include one for the handler. No heating element is being used so the fan and control is the only load at the handler
