440.32 gives you 125% of motor compressor load for branch circuit conductor. This is where they get the minimum circuit ampacity. If the mca is 30 amps, the unit would be 24 amps and run #10. But if the unit mca was 31 you would have to go up to a #8? do I have this straight? 240-d sends you to 440. I read the #10 is good for 30 amps only in 240.4 d with the exception of e thru g, and in the 440 I don't see that they allow more than 30 amps on a #10 copper. thanks.
