A/C unit right next to main panel. Do I need to put a disconnect?

If the main is right next to it, can I just use the breaker as a disconnect? Thank you for your help.

I never do because its within sight and short distance

or refrigerating equipment. The disconnecting
means shall be permitted to be installed on or within the
air-conditioning or refrigerating equipment.
The disconnecting means shall not be located on panels

refrigeration equipment or to obscure the equipment nameplate(s).

Yes it's ok, but you maximum OCP can't be higher than listed on the unit, so it say it's 35 amps on the name plate you could go 30A or I know that you can get a 35A breaker for some panels.
