According to Robert's Rules of Order, nominations do not require a second.

What is even more interesting is that a person can be nominated and elected to an office, without even being aware that any of this is going on. The rule is that the election takes effect as soon as the person is told they were elected, unless they immediately decline the election. :smile:

My screen name originated from my motocross racing days back in 1990..a pro rider of the era saw me riding my first bike, a 1978 YZ125, and commented that I was pretty slick on it.

The new forum software keeps track of "infraction points" in your profile. You need to click on "my profile" to see if you have any. We should have a contest with those points, like most before January without getting banned.
