If you are interested large gc's usually have a spot for a person with a good electrical background, engineer is a plus but not required. They need them to do estimating and to be MEP coordination engineers. The civil engineers or construction managers in a gc are afraid of the electrical stuff and need someone to hold their hand. If you still have any contacts from gcs you worked with I'll look them up and tell them your interested in a position and see what they have to offer.
