One other question....Is the 1/16th inch of plastic that is between the groups of the two stacked cables meet the intention of "maintaining spacing?"

Your guess is as good as ours. Most of us would say yes but obviously the cable stacker company has a warning of this so.... who knows.

I too have been busted on it - not failed - but given a little lecture "oh don't do that - because...." as they sign the card. Or the "Oh those aren't rated for use with 3-wire..." (Doesn't say so on the bag...) as they sign the card. Then again I have also scrawled the math for the derating on the framing next to some of them, and IMO it is a nit-picky hit to hold a tag for - what did this guy call this mans mother?
