A Typical Friday for an Inspector in the Northeast

Most are aware that the Northeast is expecting quite a bit of snow today. I woke up hoping it would be snowing...actually hoping not to go into work today...well there was no snow, so off to work I go.




My day started with inspections on properties like this:

As the morning progressed, I was inside on some larger commercial work. Then, of course I had a couple of trench inspections and the weather started to turn...

These are more pictures from the site I posted awhile ago. The work is progressing very fast. They are even working in the snow, which is not the norm around here.

So, for you guys in the "nice weather", pony up and give these guys a warm bear hug, they could use some warmth about now.


Oh yeah, even us inspectors are out in this weather.....

Stuck in the same storm, worked all day in it. Had a 20 min commute take 90, came home and ceased the engine on my ATV so I don't have to plow and my phone hasn't rang yet for an emergency call. Good night to stay in. Be safe Keep Warm.

4 hours outside on the job site [snow started at 10:30 sharp] ; 2 hour drive home [45 minutes is avg.]; 2 hours of shoveling - that's 8 and I am done for today!

Sunny and almost 80 here in Tampa, but thats why we make 1/2 the money you guys up in the great white north do.
But I'll be eating fresh caught grouper this weekend so not to bad of deal.

I get up out of bed

clean up a bit

and have some breakfast

head out to the truck

I usually stop to get coffee

a lot of mornings I have to wait for red lights.

Yeah, that's pretty boring. And I didn't know you worked at a toy store. I thought you were an electrician.

But I see at least a couple inaccuracies in your story there. I highly doubt you use a comb or a toothbrush.

They have fire alarm systems and electrical systems.

But you can replace the toy store with any big box store or supermarket.
