I ve a 54 year old house with a Rodgers A1-66 thermostat. ( in a Image 1-15-19 at 4.52 PM.jpggrandma unit)

The bottom screws on stat terminals say "line" the upper screws say "load"

There are 6 wires in the box. Top 2 were on the "line"
Bottom 4 wires on the "load"

The A1-66 line voltage thermostat I replaced it with has four wires. No screw on terminals.
Just 2 black wires and 2 blue wires.

do I wire nut the blue wires to the top wires , or the bottom 4?
I expect the extra wires were from "daisy chaining" the box to get power elsewhere.

Been okay for 54 years. Original stat lasted that long.
