Abandoned cable

I am taking Mike Holts at home course in preparation for the limited energy test this week. According to what I read in the NEC Abadoned cable needs to either removed or the exposed sections need to be removed (communication, fiber, and coax),but evertime I answer the question that way on the practice tests I get it wrong. What is the answer, remove or not.

The ends of each run can also be tagged for future use or terminated on a block etc. As such it wouldn't have to be removed. See 725.2, 800.2 etc.
