Above ceiling transformer support calc

There are tables in the T&B catalog that have the loading tables for the Kindorf. You also need to check the loading tables for whatever anchors you use into the deck or bar joists, and the tables for the threaded rods. Each component must be capable of supporting the weight of the transformer. If you have four supports (normally) resist the urge to size each support for 1/4 the transformer's weight. Size them for more like 1/2 the weight, since you'll never have the transformer dead-nuts level and centered on the strut to equally load each support.

also in bar joists try to hang it from the top chord if possible. Usually not to big of a problem with smaller ones 30 kva and smaller but the bigger ones add a lot of dead load to a building

Be sure to look at 450.13 for Accessibility requirements. There is a 50kva limit for dry-type transformers above a ceiling.
