Above grade (on the ground) wireway - request for ideas!

I might need to reconsider overhead.

A bigass block of concrete. No bigger than that. set on the ground and used to hold steel poles vertical. With aerial strung between. High enough so sag is >16' above grade.

They will accept this abomination but not buried conduit?

how do you propose setting concrete piers for overhead wires without digging?

Picture a 6' x 6' x 4' box of reinforced concrete with a cast in place pole in the middle.

How do you set that in place without leveling the ground first? that involves digging.

and just getting these things out there involves running very heavy vehicles out there that will inevitably create ruts. Do they consider ruts OK but a minor trench as bad?

if that is what they let you do I guess it is OK but I know that around here no one would allow an environmentally sensitive area to have huge blocks of concrete every 50 feet.
