Above Ground Pool Bonding Question.

This is a permanent pool , not storable . My question is about the bonding wire that goes around the pool . I have seen in some posts that it has to be 18 - 24 in. from the inside wall of the pool, but is that for in ground only or above ground also ? Also do we only have to attach to the pool at four evenly spaced locations ? In the past I would just attach around the pool at the base . Thank you .

When you run a perimeter wire between 18-24 in around the pool you are creating an equipotential bond for the perimeter surfaces as specified in 680.26(B)(2)(b) alternative means- that means there is no conductive reinforced steel in the perimeter surface.
