I know this must have been discuss several times before but can't find exact info.
We are asked to provide a circuit for pool pump to an above ground pool.
20 amp circ. We will run this in PVC from house to a 4X4 post with switch and twist lock.
680.26 states al metal parts of pool shall be bonded with #8 solid copper. Since we are using a #12 grnd with circ. Where do we connect the #8?
and would one point of connection to the pool be sufficient. As you can tell I don't do many pools. Side note: customer said can't you just put an outlet there and not worry about a permit and inspection?
After I explained that her kids will be swimming in this pool and the cost of a permit is cheap insurance she had to agree.
