ac vs dc blower motor

I have a wood burning stove in one room and this room can get into the 90's in the winter. Since it is a more rustic room I used black stove pipe at the ceiling to draw the hot air into the other rooms. I am using a standard ac blower motor to draw the air out. It pulls about 5-6 amps. Is there a compatitable dc motor? Do the Dc motors have a bridge rectifier inside to convert? Would getting a small solar panel and a inverter be a better cost effective way to run this system?
