Activating my EC

Ive just received my EC What procedues do I need to follow. Up until recently Ive been Working military jobs and didnt to activate it Any replys will be greatly appreciated.

Sir: How do I activate my electrical contractors ,do I have to go to the city and show my bond and insurance?Sorry about the bad abbreviations

Some states require you to contact the Fire Marshal's office or a type of Dept of Building Construction to get registered within their state.


Edit: I see you are wanting Florida and Virginia in your profile?

I don't know about Florida, but a number is provided below for Virginia.

Contact Richmond, Va - Contact their Division of Building and Fire Regulation Department of Housing and Community Development. (804) 371-7160

I do believe they could better assist you,if there is no EC from Va in the forums. I think there is though. I don't believe they will be in tomorrow, as we are off for the holiday.

Mr.Bdarnell, I've gotton my electrical contractos lincse in Virginia I went thru PSI,contact them for more info I took it at Falls Church,VA. I just renewed it for 2 years for 40.00.They also dont require any continued education classes. I'd look it up for you but Ive got company coming over. If you cant find any thing on psi i'll see if can find somwthing for you.

Butch, I have worked and lived in Florida. Yes, do call. Bonds, Insurance, notorized documents on work experience, credit report, etc.

Butch--Are you attempting to use a Va License or have you already to recp. with the State of Fla?
Or have you taken the fla test?
