Actuator PLC Timeout

A

Another false, or would a true be inserted?
Can't access plc according to our SCADA integrator. Would cost a nice lump to look into it. Fail to detect movement(actuator limit stop) fault and it shuts down the unit. Remote local control can live with that cause all you do is toggle Remote Local switch to OFF position to reset it then back to resume the cycle until actuator reaches full travel. Unfortunately there is no reset function on SCADA(Remote - Remote) so someone has to drive out there in the boon dogs and dirt roads to reset it at the Remote local RTU panel. However I am able to over-ride the plc time out by installing a timer control relay and can now operate the actuator the way it should and no time out faults/errors. I mean before PLCs there were always electro-mechanical relays so back to the old trusted ways.(y) :)

IMNSHO, you need a new SCADA integrator. Working with older systems should be part of their job; if they can't or won't, find some who can and will. (Which PLC is in question?)
Agreed. We basically scr...d ourselves cause they bought into this company with proprietary software and every time we ask for a CR it's like 10K lol.
