I'm building from a closet kit in my existing closet area. The kit includes a pull-out ironing board within a drawer. I don't have an existing electrical outlet in the area and was planning to add a 15 amp branch from an existing outlet in the adjacent room. However, the location would be on the wall in an open cabinet that would contain hanging clothes. The alternative would be to add an outlet inside the drawer containing the pull-out ironing board (using Romex cable threaded from the adjacent room outlet). Any comments on 1) acceptability of an outlet behind hanging clothes; and 2) an outlet in the enclosed pull-out ironing drawer? Thanks.
