So, i have a situation that maybe someone can help with I have this 2 story house that has a 200 amp service. Putting an apartment on the first floor and wanted ted to put a 2 gang meter box for separate panel. what i wanted to know if i use the 200 amp feed if i can leave the 200 amp service for the original panel and just add a 100 amp panel for the new apartment or if i have to have 2 100 amp panels and use the 200 amp feeder. The house does not have any central air or electric ranges or anything that would take up a lot of amperage. Thank you
