I have a home with a very typical setup for Oregon, a meter feeding a 200A panel. The meter is on the wall of the house. The main load center feeding the home is full, and in a pretty bad spot to try to replace it with a larger panel (would require removal of cabinetry, etc). What I want to know is if I can install a Feed-Through-Lug load center between the meter and my current home panel. I believe I will have to remove the neutral bond at the home panel since that will become a sub panel. I then will need a ground rod and bonded neutral at the new primary panel (the one I'm adding with the pass through lugs). See the attached drawing (nope, this forum won't let me upload images), it will likely make way more sense.
