The only style of LED's that have phantom flickering problems, are the candelabra base styles. I wonder if the compact size of the base left little room for good filtering ?

I'd have to disagree.

The LED phantom flicker seems to be an issue at times regardless of the base style.

Doesnt the laundry room have lighting? Why not extend that circuit to the outside light?

I agree.

Bollard lighting tapped off of a GFI protected laundry circuit just seems like trouble waiting to happen.

And one way or another the bollard lights, being in a common area, should be fed from the house panel.
This should of been the first (and of course obvious) question the o.p. should of answered...
Keep it simple. I have a 20yr old greenlee magic wand that i use for figuring out where people feed stuff from. I mean, you're gonna control the lights from somewhere, aint ya? Kiss

I believe it was from house panel because it was a commons area laundry room. That said, may not be great idea to have on that particular circuit, though I shouldn't be a code violation simply because of the laundry equipment, that rule prohibiting other outlets is for dwelling units and this is not a dwelling unit laundry circuit.

We were just looking for the nearest available circuit to where we were going to punch through the wall and close to our exterior bollard LED lamps
