Whenever I have had to add ckts to an existing panel that is flush mounted, coming down out of the attic or up out of the crawlspace, I have usually tried to drill a hole large enough to accommodate a Romex connector (as long as I can do so without damaging existing wires!). Then fish the wire up into panel KO and secure it with a lock ring.

I saw an add from Arlington about their product for retrofitting an MC cable. It is a snap-in type of connector that snaps in fron the interior, whether a panel or a metal old work type box.

I was thinking that'd be great if they had something similar for nm-b...
It would make fishing a wire into the panel much easier.

Know of any product like this?

What's your method for fishing a wire into the panel and having the wire properly connected and protected from abraiding against sharp metal?

Thanks!

These have been around for years. You can pull the NM in through the KO and then slide it over the cable and lock it in.

Ok. So it's basically a reverse plastic Romex connector...
Better ask the supply house about them. That's exactly what I was describing!

Who's manufacturer? And what name does it go by?

I'm surprised I haven't come across those before!
Thanks!

they only come in one size thoughj, that I know of anyways, and ther'ye a pain in the ass to use, I have to spread them out with my needlenose usually to get the RX sheathing to go through. What I have been doing for years is using those plastic button RX connectors, the ones that snap in, then u push the RX through them, but like, for a panel change, I push the RX in , then from inside the panel, I put the RX button connector on. I forget the correct name for them. Yes, its a violation technically, But WTF can happen, the wire is in the wall!

They come in 3/4" size also. Not sure about larger than that
